Explanation of the Shipping Process for U.S. Orders and Answers to Common Questions
Dear Valued U.S. Customers,
Thank you for your continued trust and support. We’ve recently received many inquiries regarding the shipping process to the United States. This article aims to explain the current shipping procedure and recent policy changes that may affect delivery times and costs.
1. Policy Change: End of T86 Tax-Free Threshold
Before April 2025, packages shipped from China to the U.S. could benefit from the T86 tax exemption policy, which allowed imports under $800 to clear customs duty-free via a fast-track process. This kept both shipping costs and delivery times relatively low.
However, starting April 2025, the newly elected Trump administration abolished the T86 policy and implemented a strict and high-tariff system:
- Value-based duty: 54% of the declared package value, or
-
Flat-rate duty: $100 per package,
Whichever is higher will apply.
Additionally, every package must undergo a full customs inspection, significantly affecting both the cost and the speed of delivery.
2. Current Shipping Procedure to the United States
To serve our U.S. customers, we currently use FedEx for final delivery, but it’s important to understand how the process works:
- After the order is shipped from China, the package is first handled by our partnered logistics company, not FedEx. The package is air-shipped to the U.S.
- Upon arrival in the U.S., the package enters customs inspection and clearance. This usually takes about 5–6 business days. If selected for a customs inspection, this may take longer.
- Only after the package clears customs, it is handed over to FedEx.
- FedEx then delivers the package to your address, typically in 3–4 business days.
Estimated total delivery time: 8–10 business days.
Packages selected for inspection may experience longer delays, which are unfortunately beyond our control.
3. Why Does FedEx Show “Label Created” or “No Package Received”?
This is one of the most common concerns. Since FedEx does not receive the package until after it clears customs, there will be no tracking updates in the FedEx system during the air shipping and customs clearance stage.
If your FedEx tracking shows “Label Created” for 5–6 business days without updates, it likely means the package is still in customs. Please be patient — once cleared, FedEx will scan and begin tracking the delivery.
